Who we are — and who we aren’t. Utah Dealer School - Escuela de Dealers is a private education provider approved by the Utah Motor Vehicle Enforcement Division (MVED) to teach dealer education. We are independent: we are not a government agency, we do not speak for MVED, and we are not a law firm, accounting firm, or licensing service.

Education, never professional advice. Everything on this site and in our courses — the units, the FAQ, the "How to Become a Dealer" roadmap, cost and timeline estimates, tips, and every answer we give by email or phone — is general educational information. It is not legal, financial, tax, or professional advice, and it doesn’t create any professional-client relationship. For advice about your specific situation, consult a licensed attorney or accountant.

Verify before you rely. Requirements, fees, forms, and timelines change, and cities differ. We work to keep our materials current, but the official rules live with MVED, the Utah State Tax Commission, and your city — always confirm with them before acting. Where our materials and an official source disagree, the official source wins.

No guarantee of licensure. Completing a course satisfies Utah’s education requirement, and that is all it does. Licensing decisions — including inspections, background checks, and approvals — belong entirely to the state. We cannot and do not promise you a license, a timeline, or a business outcome.

All sales are final. The full course opens the moment you pay, and your certificate is issued the instant you finish — so purchases can’t be refunded. Billing mistake — a duplicate or wrong charge? Email info@utahdealerschool.com and we’ll fix it promptly.

Access. Each seat includes 12 months of access from purchase — until your next renewal. A seat is for one named person; Utah requires each individual to complete the course themselves.

Honest work. Your certificate states that you personally completed all 480 minutes of instruction. Letting someone else complete units for you violates state rules, and we’re required to report completions accurately to MVED.

Limitation of liability. Our site and courses are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for decisions you make, applications that are denied or delayed, business losses, or any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of our materials — and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us.

Our content. The course materials, recordings, text, and design are ours. Your seat is for your own education — don’t copy, share, resell, or republish the materials.

Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, and any dispute belongs in the courts of Salt Lake County, Utah.

Changes. If these terms change, we’ll post the new version here with a new effective date. Your continued use of the site or course means you accept the current terms.
